EXPLORING PHYSICAL-DIGITAL-MYTHICAL SPACES
Born 1984, Canton, Ohio. Lives and works in Carmel, California.
Drawing inspiration from the Tarot and early archaeological fieldwork at Roman, Egyptian, and North African sites, my practice investigates the convergence between ancient narratives and contemporary cultural iconography. The work manifests through a 'phygital' methodology, weaving together digital and physical mediums while existing simultaneously as tangible objects or blockchain-based artifacts. This dual materiality serves as a platform for examining how modern symbols become tomorrow's artifacts.
The pieces orchestrate a deliberate collision between historical touchstones, sports, entertainment, mythology, and urban folklore, rendered in dream-like hyper-realizations. Each composition functions as a time capsule of cultural memory, where familiar icons are transformed through a lens of symbolic archaeology. Through this approach, the work excavates how contemporary narratives and symbols crystallize into modern mythology.
